| Description | The Northside T17 138/27 kV 33 MVA transformer was manufactured in 1966. Test results and increasing maintenance issues make this transformer an ideal candidate for preemptive replacement. Additionally, JEA Planning has requested that capacity of the T17 be increased to 50 MVA due to forecasted increase in load in the service area. Procure replacement transformer, obtain Northside T17 outage, remove existing T17 transformer and turn over to Investment Recovery, install new transformer, test, release to SOCC for service. The Contractor shall be responsible for replacing the transformer foundation pad and reconnecting the transformer's grounding, electrical connections, and control cables. JEA shall be responsible for lifting, transporting, assembly, oil processing, and testing of the transformers.
