Description

Lab Demolition & Abatement - 2nd Floor Clinical Wing. The project includes demolition of laboratory and office space totaling approximately 24,132 sq. ft. Work will include: the demolition of existing lab benches, CMU walls, gypsum board walls, ceilings, flooring, HVAC boxes and ductwork, plumbing, including acid waste, natural gas, water, compressed air and vacuum piping, electrical power devices and lights, and removal of miscellaneous items. General Bidders must be Prime Certified by DCAMM in General Construction General Contractors. Fill out and submit the Form for General Bid. Sign in all places required It is required to be Certified by DCAMM in the Categoryspecified in the Contract. Submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and complete Update Statement with your bid submission. The minimum wage rate requirements for this Contract are located in Attachment A. Addenda. Acknowledge all addendas that have been issued. It is the bidders responsibly to check with the Purchasing Department to determine if any addenda have been issued. Alternates. If there are any Alternates required, carefully follow the instructions in the bid documents in order to correctly submit your bid. Bidders Checklist. In order to assist you in submitting your bid in a proper manner and form; please review the Bidders Checklist, which follows. It is not necessary to return the Bidders Checklist with the Bid Submission. Bid Bonds. All Bidders must submit a 5% Bid Bond, or Certified, Treasurers or Cashiers Check with Bid Submission. Do NOT submit personal or company checks as a 5% Bid Deposit. Bid Bonds may be made out to the University of Massachusetts Medical School or the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Either one is acceptable. Specifications. The Technical Specifications for this project can be found in Part # IV, which is located near the back of this contract book. It is the responsibility of each bidder to conform to all bidding requirements. Failure to submit bids in a proper manner may lead to bid rejection.
