Description | The Valle Ambulance District is requesting sealed bids for the roof replacement of Valle Ambulance District House 2. The Board of Directors of the Valle Ambulance District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive technical, or legal deficiencies, and to accept any proposal that it deems to be in the best interest of the Valle Ambulance District. Removal and Replacement of shingled roof at Valle Ambulance District House Two. 1540 Hillcrest Dr, DeSoto MO 63020 The Valle Ambulance District is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to furnish and install a new shingled roof or standing seam metal roof on the structure, 1540 Hillcrest Dr, DeSoto MO 63020. Anticipated Scope of Work and Service: Option 1: Provide all necessary materials, labor, and equipment to complete installation of new asphalt shingles on the living quarters and ambulance bay according to the following scope: o Removal and disposal of the existing roofing materials. Strip roof to bare wood. o Inspection and repair of the roof deck, re-nail existing plywood or other boards where needed. o Replace existing plywood as needed. o Apply two courses of ice and water shield up from the eaves of roof and valleys. o Apply new flashing / boots to all pipes, penetrations, and necessary areas. o Repair / replace drip edge as needed or where missing. o Cover the remaining roof with high performance felt paper. o Apply Owens Corning TruDefinition Estate Gray Laminated Architectural Roof Shingles to roof. o Installation shall be completed in accordance with the manufacturer's written instructions for all materials. o The contractor shall provide all related materials and labor required to complete specified roofing necessary to receive specified manufacturer's warranty. o The contractor shall keep work area neat at the end of each workday and contained through the duration of the job. o Comprehensive cleanup and removal of debris upon project completion. o 24-hour access is required to the garage and living quarters. Crews must be able to enter and exit the living quarters and ambulance garage at all times. Ambulances must be able to enter and exit the garage at all times. Option 2: Provide all necessary materials, labor, and equipment to complete the installation of a new complete standing seam metal roof system on the living quarters and ambulance bay according to the following scope: o Removal and disposal of the existing roofing materials. Strip roof to bare wood. o Inspection and repair of the roof deck, re-nail existing plywood or other boards where needed. o Replace existing plywood as needed. o Apply two courses of ice and water shield up from the eaves of roof and valleys. o Apply new flashing / boots to all pipes, penetrations, and necessary areas. o Repair / replace drip edge as needed or where missing. o Cover the remaining roof with high performance felt paper or other underlayment as recommended by the metal roof manufacturer. o Install high-quality metal standing seam roofing system meeting or exceeding all industry standards and local building codes in color chosen by District to roof. Roofing system shall include but not be limited to underlayment, metal panels, flashing, ridge cap, fasteners, sealants, trim, ventilation, and all other components to provide a complete water tight roofing system. o Color options must be submitted to Chief Jesse Barton for written approval before any materials are ordered. o Installation shall be completed in accordance with the manufacturer's written instructions for all materials. o The contractor shall provide all related materials and labor required to complete specified roofing necessary to receive specified manufacturer's warranty. o The contractor shall keep work area neat at the end of each workday and contained through the duration of the job. o Comprehensive cleanup and removal of debris upon project completion. o 24-hour access is required to the garage and living quarters.
