Description

Original Set Aside: Historically Underutilized Business (HUBZone) Set-Aside (FAR 19.13). REMOVAL WORK: Remove all items indicated on the drawings and in the specifications and dispose of off Post at the Contractor’s expense including but not limited to: 1. Demolish and dispose of various wood, CMU, brick, concrete, and metal buildings, including all foundation structures and buried utilities. 2. Any overhead power lines shall be removed by the utility provider. The Contractor shall notify the COR/Inspector to coordinate OH utility removal. Remove all water and sanitary utility laterals and cap at mains. 3. Contractor shall recycle 50% of material by weight. 4. Underground communication, power, and natural gas utility shut off shall be coordinated with the COR/Inspector and capped/terminated by the utility provider(s). The Contractor shall remove all underground conductors/conduits/pipes. 5. Contractor shall remove in its entirety all buried ACM covered pipe up to 10” diameter. 6. Government will remove door hardware and locks just prior to demolition. Contactor shall be responsible for securing facilities thence forth. REPAIR WORK: Contractor shall repair any damages caused by this demolition, including but not limited to; 1. Backfilling, compacting, asphalt patching, and site restoration based on line items in Sec 01 12 30. 2. Repair any existing construction which is damaged. 3. Repair any landscaping including trees, shrubs, flowers, and grass. 4. Repair vehicle ruts. Level the ruts, place topsoil, and seed the disturbed areas according to the specifications.
