Landside Bridge, Culvert and Drainage Improvement

To improve drainage along Airport Drive northbound near the Airport Drive overpass bridge at Clarkson Road. The proposed improvements consist of pavement sawcut, demolition of existing pavement, installation of curb and gutter, installation of asphalt curb, installation of curb inlets and storm sewer pipe, and grading work associated with the installation of proposed concrete flumes and rock-lined channels. Improvements also include removal and replacement of existing elastomeric compression seals with silicone joint sealant suitable for bridge deck expansion joints . Improvements also include installation of joint sealant at vertical MSE wingwall joints to prevent material loss of MSE wall backfill material. Finally, improvements also include installation of joint sealant at vertical cracks where culvert wingwalls meet culvert headwalls.
