Description | As of August 6, 2020, this project is in the design phase. A general contractor has been selected. A firm construction timeline has not been established.* Sweetwater Union High School District is soliciting qualifications for Design-Build Entities or Design-Build Teams for the Mar Vista High School Aquatics Facility & Central Campus Modernization Project. M/WBEs are encouraged to participate in the bid process. Pursuant to Education Code section 17250.10 et seq., die District is seeking a DBT to design and construct the District’s Mar Vista High School Aquatics Facility & Central Campus Modernization. The Project is further defined in Mar Vista High School Aquatics Facility & Central Campus Modernization Bridging Documents (“BridgingDocuments”), which will be provided to final diree DBTs selected widi die RFP. The selected DBT must be appropriately licensed and registered in the State of California for architectural, engineering, and construction services as needed to complete the Project. The general contractor must have a valid A and/or B license. In addition, die selected DBT shall have experience widi both design and construction of public school facilities and in working widi the Office of Public School Construction (“OPSC”), the Division of die State Architect (“DSA”), and Tide 24 of die California Code of Regulations. The selected DBT must be registered widi die Department ofIndustrial Relations (“DIR”) as required by law. The selected DBT will be required to comply widi die Tabor Code prevailing wage requirements and die District’s bonding and insurance requirements. The selected DBT shall be required to work cooperatively with District staff, die Board of Education, all odier technical consultants, the bridging architect, die project inspector, and any program and/or construction manager, if any, retained by die District for die Project, citizens’ oversight committee, other District committees, and the community to facilitate timely and professional completion of the Project *Project information, including timeline and contacts, has been obtained through public sources.
