Description

**As of January 25, 2023 project was awarded to Empire Well Drilling Inc , awarded amount is $487,973.44 .** This project includes performing inspections, preventive maintenance, and possible equipment replacement at five city owned potable water wells. Four of the wells have 16-inch casings, vertical turbine pumps; 200, 250, or500 horsepower motors mounted above ground; and well depths ranging from 680to 1250 feet. The fifth well has a 6-inch casing, 7.5 horsepower submersible pump and is drilled to a depth of approximately 436 feet. More information for each well is available in the appendices of the special provisions. All bids shall be accompanied by a deposit in the form of a postal money order, cashiers check, or bond in an amount equal to 5 percent of the maximum total amount of the bid. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into a contract or furnish a satisfactory contract bond within the time stated in the specifications, the deposit shall be forfeited to the City.
