Description | Qualified firms to provide construction management and general contracting services for a 100-unit affordable rental home project located at E. 35th Place & Walden St. Aurora, Co 80011. The building is intended to provide affordable workforce housing in the Gateway Park Metropolitan District. Gateway will expand the inventory of workforce housing in a fast-growing employment sector in the City of Aurora. The City’s Housing Strategy projects that over 3,800 new jobs will be added annually; this growth will create a corresponding demand for 2,500 new housing units per year. Supporting and facilitating this balance is a priority for the City. The Gateway program and budget anticipates a 112,641 square foot, four-story building with a slab on grade foundation. The design will include 40 one-bedroom/one-bath; 50 two-bedroom/two-bath; and 10 three-bedroom/2-bath apartment homes. The building will also include a fitness center, community room, lobby area and administrative offices on the first floor. |
