Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTW) Equalization Basin and Lagoon Improvements

Bids are for construction of an equalization basin at the City of Carthage POTW (Sewage Lagoon) and improvements to the existing lagoon levee system. Work shall include, but not be limited to, clearing and grubbing, earthwork and grading, construction of concrete spillway, installation of 8 gravity sewer outfall piping and manholes, and repairs and armoring of existing lagoon levees. The total Contract Time will be 150 consecutive calendar days and the liquidated damages will be $500.00 per consecutive calendar day thereafter. All bids submitted in excess of $50,000 by a Prime or Subcontractor to do any erection, building, construction, repair, maintenance, or related work must be in compliance with and subject to Sections 31-3-15 and 31-3-21 of the Mississippi Code of 1972 as annotated and amended, and in all case law pertaining thereto. Award will be made to the lowest and best bidder and the City of Carthage Board of Alderman reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any and all informalities. If any envelope is not so marked, said bid shall not be opened or considered.

Division 33 -	Utilities, Instrumentation and Control for Utilities, Water Utilities, Water Utility Distribution Piping, Water Utility Distribution Equipment, Disinfecting of Water Utility Distribution, Water Utility Storage Tanks, Storm Drainage Utilities, Ponds and Reservoirs.
Division 35 -	Waterway and Marine Construction, Shoreline Protection, Waterway Construction and Equipment.
