Description | James City County is soliciting sealed bids from experienced, qualified and properly licensed Contractors to furnish and deliver pool chemicals for the James City County Parks and Recreation department. The Contractor shall supply materials on an "as-needed" basis to various locations throughout the County. No amount of work shall be guaranteed. Chemicals and delivery shall be in accordance with all specifications, terms and conditions herein. It is the intent of the Owner to award a contract for one (1) initial year with four (4) optional renewals. The successful vendor will be awarded a contract for each entity. Contractor shall supply and deliver all required chemicals and have the capability to respond to next day emergency deliveries and/or have the product ready for pick-up. Contractor personnel (drivers, etc.) shall be trained and qualified to handle and deliver specified products to facilities (DOT Certified as HAZ-MAT Carrier). The County reserves the right to add similar items/services or delete items/services specified during the Contract period. Locations The Contractor shall furnish pool chemicals to three (3) locations. o Chickahominy Riverfront Park 1350 John Tyler Memorial Hwy Williamsburg, VA 23185 o James City County Recreation Center 5301 Longhill Rd Williamsburg, VA 23188 o Upper County Park 180 Leisure Rd Toano, VA 23168 When requested in the bid, the County shall require the successful bidder to furnish a performance bond and labor and material payment bond with surety satisfactory to the County Attorney in the amount of the contract price at a time of or prior to execution of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to award the Contract in aggregate, or by line item, whichever is in the best interest of the County. The Owner further reserves the right not to make an award for an individual item. |
