A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Sealed bids, in duplicate, are invited for separate prime General Construction and Electrical Construction Contracts. Description of Work: The work of this project includes construction related to elevator rehabilitations / modernizations at 123 Wyoming Avenue, Scranton, PA.Receipt of Bids: Sealed bids will be received for separate prime General and Electrical contracts.Bid for Modernization Of Elevators, and marked for General or Electrical Submission. documents may be reviewed at Greenman Pederson, Inc., 52 Glenmaura National Boulevard, Scranton, PA 18505 during normal business hours. Prime Contractors purchasing bid documents must register to ensure that they will receive information issued during the bid period Bid Security: A certified check or bank draft, US Government Bond, or a Satisfactory Bid Bond in an amount not less than 10 percent (10%) of the amount of the bid and drafted in favor of Lackawanna County shall be submitted with each bid. Performance Bonds: The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for Performance and Labor and Materials Bonds which are acceptable to Lackawanna County. Wage Requirement; Equal Employment Opportunity: Attention is called to the wage and equal employment opportunity requirements of this project, as contained in the Bid Documents. Owner Rights: Lackawanna County reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Proposal Term: No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the time of opening without the consent of Lackawanna County. Contract Time: One Hundred Eighty (180) calendar days has been established as the construction period. Attention is directed to the liquidated damages clause in the Special Conditions section of the specifications. Permits: The successful Bidder shall be required to obtain and pay costs of all applicable licenses, permits and fees and shall submit copies to Lackawanna County.
