Description

Placing rock riprap and bedding shoreline protection along the upstream toe of the embankment section; placing compacted fill along 200 feet of the upstream toe of dam to improve drainage and eliminate ponding of water; demolition and removal of the abandoned early warning system tower and float-valve installation; reconstruction of the U.S.G.S. vertical lake-level staff gauges; providing temporary traffic and pedestrian controls during construction on the site and within the adjacent right-of-way; installing temporary safety fencing and storm water pollution prevention measures during construction and removing them when construction is complete; placing topsoil and revegetation of all disturbed areas. Dam No. 15 is located at Paloma Lake in northeast Round Rock. The site is located on Park property and no access coordination is required to visit the site for visual inspection. Note that no ground disturbance of any kind is allowed including staking or vehicular access. A site visit is recommended.
