Description | 1.Obtaining all necessary local, state and federal permits include wetland permits and floodplain permits. i. Wetland delineation ii. Hydraulic Analysis (if necessary for environmental permitting or structural design) 2. Survey including required topographic and boundary survey. City scheduled to acquire parcel 40-3. 3. Design shall include a preliminary engineering study which shall include an evaluation of retaining wall alternatives, easements (if any), cost estimate and required permit. Construction time and cost is a factor in the type of retaining wall, the use of modular wall may be acceptable provided it has a service life of 50 years and can be used along Pequabuck River. 4. Retaining wall design shall include reconstruction of Broad Street disturbed as part of construction, including roadside barrier, curbing and drainage. 5. Construction phasing and traffic control plan. City anticipates closure of the west bound traffic while maintaining east bound traffic. City anticipates a bid alternate deduct to close road (open to local traffic only) from Todd St to Central Street. 6. Utility Relocation and Coordination The City also reserves the right to negotiate further with one or more of the firms as to any features of their submissions and to accept modifications of the work and price when such action will be in the best interests of the City In addition to the above, the awarded contractor shall provide a certificate of insurance in the minimum amounts as specified herein. Said insurance shall be provided at the sole expense of the Contractor with an insurance company which is licensed to do business in the State of Connecticut.
