Description | DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The Bioenergy Generation Project includes, but is not limited to, demolition of existing systems and installation of new engine generator and associated systems including digester gas conditioning system, lube oil system, emissions exhaust control, and hot water system. SITE OF WORK: The site of the WORK is located at the Fairfield-Suisun Wastewater Treatment Plant at 1010 Chadbourne Road in the City of Fairfield. COMPLETION OF WORK: The WORK must be completed within 510 calendar days after the commencement date stated in the Notice to Proceed. CONTRACTOR'S LICENSE CLASSIFICATION: In accordance with the provisions of California Public Contract Code Section 3300, the OWNER has determined that the CONTRACTOR shall possess a valid Class "A" General Engineering Contractor License at the time that the Bid is submitted. Failure to possess the specified license shall render the Bid as non-responsive and shall act as a bar to award of the Contract to any Bidder not possessing said license at the time of Bid submittal. CALIFORNIA WAGE RATE REQUIREMENTS: California Labor Code Section 1771 provides "Except for public works projects of one thousand dollars ($1,000) or less, not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages for work of a similar character in the locality in which the public work is performed, and not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages for holiday and overtime work fixed as provided in this chapter, shall be paid to all workers employed on public works." In accordance with California Labor Code Section 1773.2, OWNER advises that copies of the prevailing rate of per diem wages are on file at OWNER's principal office, which shall be made available to any interested party on request. CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS REQUIREMENTS: Pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5, all CONTRACTORS and SUBCONTRACTORS bidding and working on public works contracts must be registered with California's Department of Industrial Relations. This project is subject to compliance and monitoring enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. OWNER'S RIGHTS RESERVED: The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in a bid, and to make awards to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder as it may best serve the interest of the OWNER. |
