Description | This is a Small Business Reserve procurement to remove existing fencing and install approximately 300 linear feet of 7 feet high chain link fencing with one 7' high X 3' wide single swing pedestrian gate. One (1) 7'high X 15' wide aluminum slide gate, and one (1) Gate Operator at the DJS Hilton Street Office in Baltimore, MD. VSBE Participation Goal 0% This project consists of the Contractor providing all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, insurance (see paragraph VII below), licenses and permits, etc. necessary to remove existing fencing and install approximately 300 linear feet of 7 feet high chain link fencing with one 7' high X 3' wide single swing pedestrian gate. One (1) 7'high X 15' wide aluminum slide gate, and one (1) lift master INSL24UL Industrial Slide Gate Operator or equivalent. B. Work associated with the installing the chain link fence and non- climbable mesh shall include but not be limited to the following: 1. Contractor shall remove and properly disposed of all existing fencing and associated materials 2. Contractor shall install approximately 300 (three hundred) linear feet 7 (seven) foot high fence, 9 gauge 2"mesh galvanized steel chain link fabric. 3. Terminal post to be a minimum of 3" OD (SS-40 steel), line post minimum 2 1/2" OD (SS-20 steel), top rails minimum 1 5/8" OD (SS-20 steel), and terminal post bracing rails 1 5/8" OD (SS-20 steel), 4. Terminal post footers to be 12" in diameter and a minimum of 36" deep with concrete footers 5. Line post footers to be 10" in diameter and a minimum of 30" deep with concrete footers. 6. Plated post footers shall be welded plates 6" X 6" X 1/4 " 7. Fence tension wire shall be a minimum of 7 gauge galvanized steel and shall be placed appropriately to prevent sagging. 8. Pedestrian gate to be a minimum of 9 gauge galvanized steel with 2" mesh. Gate post to be minimum 3" OD (SS-40 galvanized steel), with gate post footers at 12 "diameter X 36" deep concrete footers. Gate frame shall be 1 5/8" OD (SS-40 galvanized steel with industrial offset hinges and latches. 9. Sliding gate (aluminum cantilever) shall be 7' high X 15' wide a minimum 9 gauge galvanized steel with 2" mesh. Gate post shall be 4" OD (SS-40 galvanized steel) with 12" diameter X 36" deep concrete footers. Gate frame 2" X 2" track on top aluminum welded frame 10. Sliding gate shall include interior truck assembles, bottom guide wheels and gate latch. 11. Provide all necessary electrical work (conduits, wiring, breakers, and control wires, etc.) to install one (1) Lift Master INSL24Ul Industrial Slide Gate Operator with battery backup or equivalent. New circuitry to be ties into the existing electrical panel located in the basement of the Social Service Building. DGS will provide access to the space 12. Provide and install gate controller mounting kit, gate edge for reverse opening, monitored photo eye, ground senor for outside reversing, interior push button so that gate can be activated from the inside of building. Vendor to provide twenty (20) hand held remotes for opening and closing sliding gate and provide one (1) Knox key switch for Fire Department access. 13. Contractor is responsible for located and marking all underground utilities prior to digging. 14. Contractor is responsible for the proper disposal of all material and shall return surrounding site to a pre-construction condition. 15. All work to be performed according to all applicable codes. |
