Description | The City of Santa Monica is seeking a vendor to provide One (x1) 500-foot deep exploratory borehole to be drilled at the City of Santa Monica (City) Michigan Avenue city yard located at 2500 Michigan Ave, Santa Monica, CA 90404. The area is paved and used for parking and vehicle traffic. The exploratory borehole is to be drilled using a direct mud rotary drill rig. After completion of downhole testing, the borehole shall be permanently destroyed. The primary purpose of this exploratory borehole is to generate the subsurface data needed to provide an evaluation of drilling a future water injection well at this site. The City will only accept or respond to questions submitted through the online vendor portal. Bidders are hereby notified that pursuant to provisions of Section 1770, et seq., of the Labor Code of the State of California, the Contractor shall pay its employees the general prevailing rate of wages as determined by the Director of Department of Industrial Relations. In addition, the Contractor shall be responsible for compliance with the requirements of Section 1777.5 of the California Labor Code relating to apprentice public works contracts. The City reserves the right to award the bid to separate bidders on any of the items as provided in and set forth in the bidder's proposal form furnished by the City. It is further understood that if the bidder to whom any award is made fails to enter into a contract with the City, award may be made to the next best bidder, who shall be bound to perform as if she, he or it received the award in the first instance. |
