Petroleum Products and Street Maintenance Materials for Year 2022

Cutting edges Bids for an indefinite amount of Class D, Type 2 hot mix asphalt material to be hauled by the City from the asphalt plant and for cold mix asphalt material to be hauled by the City from cold mix materials. Typically, the City would expect to use 1,200 ton of hot mix asphalt and 100 ton of cold mix asphalt per year. The asphalt materials purchased by the City are to be accumulated for the year 2022 and the contract will terminate December 31, 2022. The hot mix shall comply with South Dakota Department of Transportation specifications for Class D Material, Type 2, the asphalt cement shall be PG 58-28. Asphalt percentage shall be 6.5 to 7 percent. The City will coordinate quantities and material hauling, with the successful bidder. The cold mix asphalt material shall comply with South Dakota Department of Transportation specifications for Class D, Type 2 Aggregate Material; the asphalt used shall be MC-800, unless otherwise specified. Asphalt percentage shall be 6.5 to 7 percent. The City will haul the material from the successful bidder’s stock pile as required.
