Description

A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are a reasonable number of interested small business concerns to set this future project aside for them. If your firm is a Small Business, certified HUBZone, 8A, Woman-Owned Small Business or Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Business and you are interested in this project please respond appropriately. Project Location: Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio Project Description: The proposed project is to add lab space by constructing two new floors, 8th and 9th floors (approximately 1,500 net square feet), to the existing 13 story research tower with the 9th floor as secure SAP (Special Access Program) lab space. Renovate the 10th floor to provide SAP includes installing new fire suppression in added space, new rest room facilities with all necessary plumbing and fixtures, new power and lighting, new elevator access, new HVAC duct & controls by tying into existing nearby duct/piping dedicated & originally sized for heating/cooling for up to three additional floors (no increase in HVAC tonnage is required), and new balconies on 8th, 9th, 10th,, 11th, and 12th floors (approximately 1,350 net square feet). Remove and replace existing electrical bus, elevator, loading dock leveler, and wall/floor/ceiling finishes, that have reached the end of their useful life and bring up to current standards. This project will comply with applicable DoD Air Force, and base design standards. In addition, local materials and construction techniques shall be used where cost effective. Facilities will be designed as permanent construction in accordance with the DoD Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC 3-260-02). This project will comply with DoD antiterrorism/force protection requirements per UFC 4-010-01. Contract duration is estimated at 730 calendar days. The estimated cost range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. NAICS code is 236220. Descriptions of Experience - Interested construction firms must provide descriptions of up to (3) three projects with greater than 95% completion by you as the prime contractor within the past five (5) years which are similar to this project in size and scope. Each project must include the name, title, project role, e-mail address, and telephone number of at least one reference. References may be used to verify project size, scope, dollar value, percentages and quality of performance. Example projects must be of similar size and scope. Projects similar in scope to this project include: Projects considered similar to this project include but are not limited to vertical construction projects consisting of additions to elevated concrete structures with electrical, elevator, HVAC and laboratory upgrades. In addition, similar projects would have had ICD 705 requirements. Projects similar in size to this project include: Projects similar in size would consist of elevated vertical construction renovation and addition with total renovated square feet of 2,850 square feet.
