Scera Park Lap Pool Re-Surfacing

Re-surface the entire "Lap swimming pool" (lap lane area, diving area and general swimming area) at the City of Orem Scera Park Pools located at 701 South State Street, Orem, Utah. A. The preparation of the plaster on the entire surface area of the slide pool. 1. Diamond cut tile edges and around all coping stone. Remove the plaster material. 2. Acid wash and Power wash all exposed plaster area's to ensure proper adhesion of the bond-coat. 3. Replacement of all tile that is questionable in quality and bond needs to be replaced. 4. Replacement of all damaged coping stone. 5. Replacement of depth markers in the pool. 6. Major stress cracks in the pool shell will need to be repaired by diamond cuts to open the fracture and then sealed with epoxy, to strengthen and help seal from leaking. 7. Inspect and repair all main drain sumps, including possible leaking problems around the piping. 8. Replace the main drain covers to VGBA current regulations, including all equalizing line covers according to the VGBA regulations. B. Re-surface the swimming pool basin 1. Re-surface all surfaces and walls with a quality mix of plaster. 2. The plastering process needs to be completed by skilled tradesman, with the plaster thickness to be between ½ to ¾ of an inch. 3. To include the replacement of all the Deco-Seal in all the expansion joints and around the entire perimeter of the pool between the outer pool and the concrete deck. C. Replace lap pool cover: 1. Existing deck anchors are in fair condition. Only replace the few as needed. 2. Cover must be “Loop Lock” brand to be compatible with existing anchors.
