Description | Base Bid Description: This project remediates areas where carpet will be removed at Building 1 and Building 2 at the Southern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services campus. Building 1 and 2 are single story, slab on grade structures. Building 1 is approximately 25,250 square feet and Building 2 is approximately 6,235 square feet. The exteriors have painted stucco walls and the interior walls are furred with gypsum board. Contract Time: 75 calendar days. Liquidated Damages: $205.00 per day. Prevailing Wages must be paid on this project. Site Directions: 6161 West Charleston Boulevard, Las Vegas This project is for the abatement of stucco, vinyl floor tile, and/or black mastic of the SNAMHS Building 1 and Building 2 located at 1302 South Jones Boulevard, Las Vegas, Nevada 89146. The Abatement Contractor (Contractor) is to be determined by competitive bid, which will be awarded by the Nevada State Public Works Division (Owner) to a General Contractor (GC). Converse Consultants, the Owner's Asbestos Consultant (Consultant), will provide a Project Monitor for the project, who will conduct final visual and air clearance for the scheduled abatement activities. Once the Contractor has completed removal work and all detail cleaning, the Project Monitor will conduct the final visual inspection for the containment areas with the Contractor present. After the visual inspection is completed, Consultant will perform the final air clearance sampling before re-occupancy of the building. The work will be done with several containments (to be determined by the contractor) and will include the removal of vinyl floor tile and/or black mastic. The remaining suspected building materials that will be disturbed by this project have been sampled and found to be non-detect for asbestos fibers. The abatement is needed to remove asbestos containing materials (ACM) before the planned renovation work can begin. The estimated construction cost for the base bid of this project is: $105,000.00 |
