Description | PRESOLICITATION NOTICE This document serves as notification of an upcoming solicitation for a construction project - Project 610-21-209 Add PACS System on Campus (Marion): It is the intention of the Northern IN VA Medical Center (Marion Campus) to solicit bids for the following: Contractor will provide all labor, equipment, materials and supervision necessary to add card readers and update the security systems at the Marion VA campus compliant with the new Office of Management and Budget mandate to transition to Deterministic Random Bit Generator (DRBG)-based (Version8.x) cards. The primary monitoring of the card readers and alarm system shall occur at the VA Police Dispatch building 170. The card readers and security improvements will be added to existing system and will be: installed, fully tested and be in compliance with VA Handbook 0730/4, Appendix B dated 29Mar13.All work to be completed at the VA- Northern Indiana Health Care - Marion Campus, 1700 E. 38th. Street, Marion, IN 46953. Work to be completed within 310 calendar days from notice to proceed. Justification of Work: The main goal of this project is to incorporate PACS locks at the Marion VA Campus. This project will be procured as 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) used for this requirement is 238210, Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors with a standard size of $16.5M. The magnitude of this construction project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Contract awardee shall provide all supervision, labor, equipment, training, materials, supplies, and incidentals necessary to accomplish the work in accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications & drawings provided. The VA will issue an IFB on or about 27 January 2023 via www.sam.gov . A site visit will be scheduled prior to the closing of solicitation, and the date, time and location will be posted in the solicitation.
