Description | The Project includes the following Work: This project is for the brine tank rehabilitation at the Water Treatment Plant located at 7th Street and Route 36 in Riverton, Illinois. The portion of work in this advertisement for bids is the demolition of the concrete top slab and furnishing / installing new concrete top slab with new access hatches. Bids are requested for the following Contract: Contract C - Water Treatment Plant, Brine Tank Rehabilitation (631-012/21007.04) The Project has an expected duration of 30 days. Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. There will be no pre-bid conference for the Project. All Contracts for the construction of public works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1-2). Section 746 of Title VII of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division A - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and subsequent statutes mandating domestic preference applies an American Iron and Steel requirement to this project. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States. The term "iron and steel products" means the following products made primarily of iron or steel: lined or unlined pipes and fittings, manhole covers and other municipal castings, hydrants, tanks, langes, pipe clamps and restraints, valves, structural steel, reinforced precast concrete, and Construction Materials. The De Minimis, minor components, pig iron and direct reduced iron waiver apply to this contract. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The award of Contracts on this project shall be predicated upon competitive bidding, with award being made to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. Said lowest Bidder(s) shall be determined for each Contract by summarizing the applicable low base bid(s). The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Owner: Village of Riverton |
