Description

Plans call for the demolition of an existing car wash and a portion of a convenience store to allow for an expanded car wash. Part of the convenience store will remain on the site and be renovated and expanded onto for the new car wash. The applicant appeared before the Village of Gurnee Planning and Zoning Board on August 4, 2021 for an informal review of an amendment to the Pembrooke Commercial PUD to add "car wash" to the list of special use permits. As of December 27, 2022, no formal application has been submitted to the City of Gurnee. An architect has been selected, but contractor information has not been released.
