Description

Town of Norwood invites Qualifications from TRADE Contractors. This is a Construction Manager at Risk Project pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 149A. Response to this Request of Qualifications is the first step in a two-phase procurement process. Question Deadline 12/16/2022 at 12:00 PM ET Response to Questions (if applicable): Wednesday December 21, 2022 by 5:00pm Trade Contractor Categories Include: Masonry; Miscellaneous and Ornamental Iron; Waterproofing, Dampproofing, Caulking; Roofing and Flashing; Metal Windows; Glass & Glazing; Tiling; Acoustical Ceilings; Resilient Flooring; Painting; Elevators; Fire Protection; Plumbing; Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning; Electrical Qualification: DCAM Certificate New, four-story 187,840 GSF middle school building including a new gymnasium, auditorium, black box theater, music rooms, art rooms, and commercial kitchen spaces as well as multiple elevators. Structure will be a mix of structural steel and metal framed. The construction includes VRF mechanical systems. The project includes a base PV package and an alternate package which will make the project reach Net Zero Energy, if accepted. The project is pursuing a minimum of LEED Certified. Total duration is 30 months. Only prequalified TRADE firms will be permitted to submit bids for the category of work in which they were prequalified.
