Whalen Gym Athletic Floor Refinishing Project

Scope of Work: 1. Remove all existing finish and sand floor to smooth & level surface. 2. Remove vented cove base and aluminum thresholds as needed to complete work. 3. Reinstall these items after completion including replacement of items damaged during removal. 4. Protect in place floor sleeves and cover plates for outlets, communication & VB standards. Replace cover plates if necessary. 5. Protect existing wiring under floor. 6. Protect bleachers, video board, and athletic equipment from dust and debris – clean after sanding. 7. Replace repair damaged areas as needed and approved by owner, provide T&M cost for flooring replacement as needed. 8. Repaint all court markings in colors TBD. Center court playing surface markings need to comply with current NCAA specification. - North court – basketball, volleyball, badminton. - Center Court – basketball, volleyball. - South Court – basketball, volleyball, badminton. 9. Add graphics package painting and staining on center court per provided example – confirm with owner prior to proceeding. 10. Refinish floor with four (4) coats of Hillyard Basecoat and one (1) coat of Hillyard 1907 or equivalent approved by owner. Provide manufacturer’s warranty for products used. 11. Provide min. one-year workmanship warranty. 12. Provide floor care recommendations.
