Description | Removal and disposal of stormwater, sedimentation, and debris accumulated in one of the counterweight pits under the Bicentennial Bascule Bridge by the contractor. One cell is approx. 25 ft by 25 ft. The two cells are connected for a total of 1250 sq. ft. The pit could hold up to 8 to 12 inches of sedimentation and stormwater totaling approximately 47 cubic yards depending on weather conditions. The cells are 21’ deep, and there is approximately another 17’ from the top of the cells to the road surface. The contractor is responsible for removing and disposing all the material in the pits. Once the pit cells are substantially empty the bottom slab must be cleaned with a power washer to remove all of the sediment. |
