Description | Scope : Placement of 500 tons of 300-500 lb. rip-rap stone at specified locations along the District's 42-inch ID intake pipeline. The Bidders attention is directed to the Scope of Services for a complete description of the Work and the Project The contract documents, plans, and specifications, may be reviewed at the above location by appointment only. Complete sets of the Bidding Documents for the Placement of 500 tons of 300-500 lb. rip-rap stone at specified locations along the District's 42-inch ID intake pipeline and related services are available via email. All materials furnished and labor performed, incidental to and required for the proper and satisfactory execution of the contracts, shall be furnished and performed in accordance with the requirements of the drawings and specifications, and any addenda thereto, prepared by the Lake County Public Water District, 500 -17th Street, Zion, Illinois 60099. Each bid and proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Lake County Public Water District, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum bid price as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proposed contract within fifteen (15) days after the award of the contract. In case the successful bidder shall fail to execute such contract and bond, the amount of the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the District as liquidated damages. Bids and proposals must be sealed and addressed to the Lake County Public Water District and there shall appear on the envelope of such bid and proposal the name and address of the bidder and the purpose for which the proposal is intended. The Lake County Public Water District reserves the right to reject any of all proposals, to waive any defects or informalities in the bids received and to accept the bid most advantageous to the District. All work performed under this contract shall be in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, including but not limited to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and the Illinois Employee Classification Act. This project is subject to the requirements of the wage determination of the Secretary of Labor. Lake County Public Water District, in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that the contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder without discrimination on grounds of race, color, or national origin. |
