Description

As of June 21, 2023, this project is under construction. A firm timeline for construction completion has not been established. ***The contact(s) will not accept phone call inquiries at this time.** This project is part of "Forward" is a new transportation plan that will address the state's transportation needs. The first items included in the new plan will be the nearly 25 projects that were suspended in the current 10-year plan, called T-Works. Project number: KA-2368-01 County: Morris Location:: K-177: From Morris/Geary County Line, North to Junction I-70/ K-177 Miles: 9.7 Scope: Widen the full length of K-177 to a 40 ft. roadway, including 8 ft. composite shoulders. Portions of K-177 will be reconstructed to improve alignment or flatten hills. This project includes extending drainage structures, flattening slopes, replace bridge #028, extend bridges #022 & #029 and replace guardrail as appropriate. *Project information, including timeline and contacts, has been obtained through public sources. During this phase, K-177 will be closed for approximately 13.5 miles from halfway between the K-4 junctions, continuing north to I-70. Both K-4 junctions will be kept open until around August, weather permitting, at which time they will be closed as reconstruction nears completion.
