Bridge No 3 Rehabilitation Project

Maintenance and protection of traffic - Detour. 2. Erosion and sediment pollution control. 3. Removal and proper disposal of portions of the existing bridge including, but not limited to the following: nail laminated timber bridge deck; painted steel stringers with attachments supporting the deck; existing steel bridge railing with steel curbs; and deteriorated concrete backwall at each abutment. 4. Minor modifications at each abutment including preparation of the bridge seats to accept the new stringers and replacement of the existing concrete backwalls with new short-height reinforced concrete backwalls. This work also includes reconstruction of the dirt/gravel approach roadway at each approach within the limits of required excavation to complete each backwall replacement. 5. Installation of new galvanized steel stringers, new galvanized Type 2-SC structure mounted guide rail, new nail laminated timber deck, and new timber curbs (deck approximately 66 feet long by 12.7 feet wide). 6. Miscellaneous truss and floorbeam repairs. 7. Replacement of a portion of gabion basket retaining wall adjacent to the southeast wingwall. 8. Placement of rock scour protection along the gabion basket retaining wall. 9. Cleaning of an existing inlet and attached 21-inch diameter CMP at the southeast embankment. 10. Site restoration work.
