Description | The Town of Wallingford is seeking bids for "Pavement Milling at Various Locations in Wallingford". Clarification Deadline 5/3/2022 5:00 Pm 1. The work under this item shall consist of the cold plane milling of existing bituminous concrete pavement to the depth specified. 2. The milling shall consist of one or more passes to achieve the required depth in accordance with good construction practice and the following requirements. 3. This work also includes removal of the milled materials and the mechanical sweeping of the milled surface to remove any excess or loose material. 4. The Contractor will mobilize to the selected locations for each assignment. Assignments will be made by DPW to facilitate the Contractors efforts to relocate to each location to the extent possible. However, the Contractor is solely responsible for all costs associated with mobilization, remobilization and relocation of forces and equipment. The DPW anticipates pavement milling of the following roadways during the 2019-2020 construction season however roads may be added or deleted as needed. o Harrison Road - 5,280 square yards o So. Elm Street- 27,456 square yards o Pond Hill Road - 39,424 square yards o Martin Avenue - 3,696 square yards o Fairlawn Drive - 7,392 square yards o Hope Hill Road - 21,296 square yards 5. The qualified and competent contractor will possess the necessary equipment and manpower to effectively and efficiently perform all required assignments under this contract. The contractor will need to demonstrate a successful history of completion on similar projects and assignments. 6. On these assignments, the contractor will be required to work in conjunction with the Department of Public Works labor forces and the Town's paving contractor. 7. Hourly rate for Barco Miller for key cuts and smaller areas as needed, minimum 5' wide drum. |
