Description | The Village of Addison is seeking bids for Village Hall Equipment Garage Addition. All questions shall be directed to Jason Estes, AIA - Principal; FGM Architects, Inc.; jasonestes@fgmarchitects.com Project Description: Project consists of a masonry bearing addition to the Village Hall with flat steel structure roof. Scope includes demolition, concrete, masonry, steel, carpentry, MEP&FP. The project consists of a 1,248 square foot storage garage addition to the Village Hall. It is a single story masonry bearing structure with a flat steel structural roof. Project cost range is anticipated to be under $2.0 million . Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of ten (10) percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after opening of bids. Security shall be either certified check, cashier's check or bid Bond issued by surety licensed to conduct business in the State of Illinois. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Prebid Meeting: There will be NO prebid meeting Anticipated Board Approval August 15, 2022 Anticipated Notice of Intent August 16, 2022 Commence Work on: September 6, 2022 Substantial Completion: December 19, 2022 Final Completion: January 10, 2023 A. Qualification forms consist of AIA Document A305 "Contractor's Qualification Statement" which is available from AIA . 1. Bidders shall either submit qualification documentation at the time of the bid or after opening (if they are a low bidder being reviewed). B. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. Within ten (10) days after notification of award of contract, the successful Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner. The Performance Bond shall be in the amount of 100 percent of the contract. The performance bond will become a part of the contract. B. The failure of the successful bidder to enter into contract and supply the required bond and Certificates of Insurance within ten (10) days after the prescribed forms are presented for signature, or within such extended period as the Owner may grant, shall constitute a default. C. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities and irregularities in any bid, or to make awards in the best interests of the Owner. The Owner also reserves the right to award a partial amount of the Work rather than the entire amount. D. All bids submitted shall be valid for a period of at least sixty days from date of bid opening; the only alterations which will be allowed will be those approved by the Owner. E. All contractors submitting bids must be in compliance with the Prevailing Wage Act as enacted by the State of Illinois.
