Description

Providing pre-construction and construction services for the Robert E. Aylor Middle School Replacement project in Stephens City. To follow along with FCPS education plans of collaborative learning environments, the REAMS Project would incorporate shared learning areas into the design to allow for maximum flexibility for the staff and students. In school year 2017/2018, REAMS had a starting enrollment of 628 students spread between three grades. The replacement school would need to have a larger capacity due to the population growth in the REAMS attendance zone and a planned rezoning of student from the Richard E. Byrd Middle School attendance zone due to student membership exceeding the school's program capacity. The Project will be all inclusive of construction and furnishing of the interior of the building as well as construction of outdoor spaces for sports and playgrounds, collaborative learning spaces, segregated bus and vehicular parking, and etcetera.
