Description | All work shall comply with local, state and national codes of all authorities having jurisdiction. This includes but is not limited to the National Electrical Code, Plumbing Codes, Fire Codes, New York State Education Department Laws and Regulations and OSHA regulations. Typical work will include but is not limited to: Concrete Work Installation of sidewalks Installation and/or repair of curbs Specifications for 5" Concrete Sidewalk Removal/Replacement Provide all necessary labor equipment to saw cut and remove existing sidewalks All material will be trucked off site and legally disposed of. Existing sub-soils to be fully compacted. Provide a minimum of 5" of 3/4 " crushed stone sub-base fully compacted. Sidewalks to be formed to proper lines and grades. Sidewalks to be reinforced with 6"x6" welded wire mesh. Ensure that wire is cast in center of sidewalk. 3,500 P.S.I. air entrained concrete with a maximum 5" slump to be used. Control joints shall be placed 5' on center. Expansion joints shall be placed 20' on center. Sidewalks shall receive uniform broom finish. Areas disturbed during construction of sidewalk shall be graded, receive additional topsoil if necessary, seeded, and mulched with straw. Provide square foot pricing for sidewalk removal and replacement. Provide square foot pricing for 5" sidewalk new install. All wages and supplements paid to laborers on this contract shall be in accordance with the New York State Department of Labor Prevailing Wage Schedule, specifically "General Construction Rates" for Westchester County. The HOHUFSD reserves the right to waive any informality in the bids, or to reject all bids, or to accept any bid which in the opinion of the Board will be in its interest. |
